"The Step-by-Step Customer Focused Web Design"
The analysis phase will start at your place of business and will generally take between 40-50 minutes. Later, we can perform some of the process over the phone and through e-mail. We will analyze your current website if you have one and discuss the direction your site should take. If you do not have a site, we will discuss your aspirations for a site. Also, with your help, we will gather pertinent information and examples relating to your business through the use of a written Creative Review.
After analysis and brainstorming by our creative team and input from you and the Creative Review, we will develop a written Creative Brief outlining the goals and intentions of your web site. The Creative Brief will also set out milestones for approvals of copy, artwork and layout as well as web specific content such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies. Additionally, the Brief will layout the timetable needed to produce both the design and HTML coding of your site. Once you are satisfied that the Creative Brief meets your needs, we will begin the design phase.
Using the Creative Brief, we will create up to three preliminary designs that meet the criteria laid out in the Brief. After you select one of them, we will continue to develop and refine the concepts and artwork into a comprehensive design with input from you at set milestones to approve copy, artwork, and layout. With all approvals in order, we will finalize the design, and submit it to you for approval. We will also help facilitate domain name creation, domain registration, DNS changes, web hosting arrangements,
and setup of your e-mail addresses.
With the approval of the final design, we will begin the HTML coding of your site. We will set up a test site on our servers that you can access with a password to see your site in development. We will test your site using current and some older generation browsers. We will guarantee the site will work efficiently in current versions of Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera, and Netscape Navigator on both the Mac and Windows platforms. We will inform you if your site has known compatibility issues in specific earlier generational browsers.
Once all HTML coding is finished and tested, we will deliver all materials to you, and/or the person in your organization that will be responsible for your website. If you have signed up with a Web Hosting Service, we will also upload all files to their servers and take your site live. We will then schedule a follow-up meeting with you to recap the Creative Brief, benchmarking the effectiveness of the design to its intended goals.
